EQUESTRIAN AND MOTORIZED OPEN SEASON:
May 1 - November 30
Capitol Forest trails are closed to horse and motorized use during the "heavier" rainy season, (summer around here is known as the "lighter" rainy season).

During the winter, the trails are closed to horse and motorized use in order to prevent

serious erosion and impact on the softer wet soil and allow trail restoration crews

time to restore and repair trail damage from the open season.
