"Keeping the trails open."
This statement is our primary mission, keeping the trails open
for equestrian use. We do this primarily by donating many volunteer
hours to maintaining trails; clearing trees and other debris, rebuilding
trails, and maintaining camp sites. The fact that our trail work
also benefits hikers and bicyclists is secondary.
We work closely with the US
Forest Service, National
Park Service, and
the Washington State Department
of Natural Resources, the federal
and state agencies in charge of managing the forests.
We are a chapter of Backcountry Horsemen of Washington (BCHW), and are affiliated with Back Country Horsemen of America (BCHA)
